Consumidor:Os aminoglicosídeos podem causar oitavo nervo craniano danos, resultando em vestibular e/ou auditivo toxicidades. Os sintomas incluem vertigem, nistagmo, vertigem, ataxia, zumbido de ouvidos, e diferentes graus de deficiência auditiva. A perda permanente da audição pode ocorrer, inclusive, raramente, total ou parcial bilateral irreversível surdez depois que a droga foi interrompida. A terapia com aminoglicosídeos, particularmente se prolongada (> 10 dias), deve ser administrado com cautela em pacientes com pré-existentes vestibular e/ou de deficiências auditivas, uma vez que pode atrasar o reconhecimento ou confundir o diagnóstico de um induzida por fármacos ototóxicos efeito.
