A deterioração na apreensão de controle e electroencephalographic (EEG) alterações têm sido relatados ocasionalmente em pacientes epilépticos tratados com baclofen. A terapia com baclofeno deve ser administrado com cautela em pacientes com história de convulsões. O estado clínico e o EEG devem ser monitorados em intervalos regulares durante o tratamento. Exceto em casos de overdose ou reações adversas graves, a cessação de baclofen terapia, sempre que necessário, deve ocorrer gradualmente, gradualmente reduzidas doses. A retirada abrupta tem sido associado com efeitos no sistema nervoso central, incluindo convulsões, alucinações e psicose.
