Narcóticos opiáceos analgésicos agentes são extensivamente metabolizada pelo fígado, e vários deles (por exemplo, codeína, hidrocodona, meperidina, metadona, morfina, propoxifeno) possuem metabólitos ativos que ainda são convertidos para inativo substâncias. As concentrações de soro de esses agentes e seus metabólitos podem ser aumentados e a meia-vida prolongada em pacientes com insuficiência hepática. A terapia com opióides devem ser administrados com cautela e iniciadas em doses reduzidas em pacientes com doença hepática. As doses subsequentes devem ser titulada com base na resposta individual ao invés de um fixo de dosagem programação.

Consumidor:

Fenotiazinas são extensivamente metabolizado pelo fígado e pode se acumular em pacientes com insuficiência hepática. Além disso, o uso de alguns fenotiazinas tem sido associados com efeitos adversos hepáticos efeitos, incluindo icterícia e aumento das enzimas hepáticas, geralmente dentro de alguns meses de terapia. Icterícia geralmente ocorre entre a segunda e quarta semanas de tratamento em cerca de 0,1% a 4% de todos os pacientes. A terapia com fenotiazinas deve ser administrado com cautela em pacientes com doença hepática pré-existente, alterações nas enzimas hepáticas ou hepatite. Função hepática e urina bilirrubina testes devem ser realizados periodicamente durante a terapia prolongada, e os pacientes devem ser instruídos a relatar imediatamente quaisquer sinais ou sintomas sugestivos de icterícia, tais como dor abdominal superior, náuseas, amarelo pele, gripe-como sintomas, erupções cutâneas e febre. Fenotiazina a terapêutica deve ser interrompida, de preferência, de forma permanente, se a icterícia ocorre e é atribuído à droga. Clínica de recuperação é geralmente observado dentro de poucas semanas após a retirada da terapia, embora histopatológica alterações podem persistir por períodos mais longos.
