O uso de hidralazina tem sido associada com o desenvolvimento de lúpus eritematoso sistêmico e do tipo lúpus, síndromes, bem como a exacerbação da doença. Hidralazina terapia deve ser retirado em pacientes que apresentem piora da existência prévia de lúpus. Monitoramento completo de contagens de sangue, e os títulos de anticorpos antinucleares antes e durante a terapia prolongada é recomendado.
