Carbapenems são essencialmente eliminados pelo rim. Pacientes com insuficiência renal podem estar em maior risco de efeitos adversos da carbapenems, incluindo convulsões e outras centrais de distúrbios no sistema nervoso, devido à diminuição da droga folga. Ajustes de dose devem ser consideradas, com as modificações com base no grau de insuficiência renal e a severidade da infecção, de acordo com o produto individual rotulagem pacote. A função Renal testes devem ser realizados periodicamente durante a terapia.
